I grew up with 4 siblings in a small town in northern New Jersey. After I graduated college I traveled through Europe and ended up working in Italy for a few years. My travels inspired me to paint, draw and collect all sorts of things in my journals. Those formative years really solidified my passion for story telling and image making. Today I am a freelance illustrator and designer. I live with my daughter, dog and cat in a sleepy little town on the Hudson River.
Ever since I was a child I’ve always loved to play with color, shape and line, most children have this sort of curiosity and some never loose that sense of wonder. Playing is how we learn, as both children and adults. I try to approach my art that same way. Enjoy the ride, let it take you to the places you need to explore. Whether it’s a personal painting, an image for a children’s book or a design for a quilt, I always want it to be infused with the random discoveries I make along the way.
