Over the years I’ve mentored many students of various ages and skill levels. My aim is to create projects geared specifically for each individual. I encourage personal artistic development and I assist each artist to find the right markets for their work. I also help with specific business/marketing skills necessary to sell your work in a rapidly changing industry. Licensing can be an overwhelming area of commercial art. I review the basics of licensing contracts and professional practices needed to make any job go smoothly. My expertise in the commercial art field comes from my past experience which include:
– Over 25 years of freelance design/illustration experience.
– Full time illustrator/designer at Hallmark Cards Inc.
– Creative Director of Wall Stories.
– Teaching illustration at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
– Currently enrolled at FIT in NYC, to receive my MFA in Illustration, 2016.
If you are interested in mentoring please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to write a bit about yourself and your goals. Please attach a few low res files of your work and include your phone number in the email. I will email you back and we will set up an initial phone meeting so I can get a better understanding of what your needs are. I will offer options as to how we can proceed and fees involved to fit your needs. For more information down load the flyer below.
I also offer internships to students (school credit available). If your interested in an internship please email me at email@example.com. You would be required to travel to my studio in Dobbs Ferry, NY. For more information on internships please download the flyer below.
